The agent for Brandon Maclin, a 6’5 forward from Jackson, Tennessee, tells The Portal Report that several schools have reached out to his client, including Murray State.
The Jackson South Side High School product spent two seasons, from 2022-24, playing at Odessa Junior College, where he was ranked as one of the Top 50 JUCO players in the country.

Maclin played at Radford this past season, where he averaged 10.0 points and 4.3 rebounds for the Highlanders. He had a season-high 22 points, knocking down six three-pointers, in Radford’s win over St. Francis (PA) on December 1st. Maclin shot 34.3% from beyond the arc for the season.
Along with Murray State, Maclin has heard from Duquesne, Northern Illinois, Middle Tennessee, Incarnate Word, Little Rock, Rice, Tulane, Chattanooga, Fresno State, Jacksonville State, Tulsa, East Tennessee State, North Texas, La Salle, Austin Peay, DePaul, New Mexico State, and UTRGV.

Murray State Head Coach Ryan Miller has announced the signing of four new players for the 2025-26 season. He still has 11 scholarships available to fill for next season, which could include some combination of returning players and the two freshmen who signed with the program last November.
