AP names Kansas #1 in preseason poll
MBB: Drake is the only Missouri Valley Conference team receiving votes
The Associated Press released their men’s basketball preseason poll Monday afternoon and Kansas earned the #1 spot. You can see the rest of the poll here.
The Drake Bulldogs, the 2023 Missouri Valley Conference Tournament champions, are the only team from the Valley to receive any votes in the preseason poll. They received one single 25th-place vote, which is good for a tie for 43rd-place.
The only other team on Murray State’s schedule to earn votes in the AP preseason poll is Mississippi State. The Bulldogs, who the Racers will play on December 13th in Starkville, picked up 20 votes in the poll. That’s good for a 34th-place overall.
