Arch Madness brackets (essentially) set
MBB: The Racers expect to play Evansville Thursday at 6:00pm in St. Louis

With the men’s regular season now finished, all eyes turn to St. Louis and Arch Madness starting on Thursday.
The brackets will not officially be set until Monday morning, but barring some extremely bizarre results from tomorrow morning’s NCAA NET rankings, we know how the 12 teams will be seeded.
As the #7 seed, Murray State is expecting to play #10 seed Evansville on Thursday night in the opening round of the tournament. The Racers are locked into the #7 seed, but Evansville is in a three-way tie for 8th place with Indiana State and Southern Illinois. Heading into today, the Purple Aces had the worst NET ranking of those three teams by a wide margin, and after losing to Illinois State, there is no reason to believe that will change.
Thanks to Matt Hackman, here’s a look at the how the brackets are expected to look when they are released tomorrow morning:
Murray State split their two games with Evansville this season. The Racers beat the Aces in Murray, 63-61, back on December 3rd. On January 29th, Evansville returned the favor by beating Murray State, 78-74, at the Ford Center.
