Rylee Canaan, a 6’0 forward in the recruiting class of 2027, posted on her X account that she has received a scholarship offer from Murray State.
Canaan, a sophomore at Evansville Reitz Memorial High School, averaged 10.5 points and 5.2 rebounds per game last season as a freshman. She also shot 88% from the free throw line and 39% from beyond the arc.
After watching Canaan play at an AAU event in Georgia back in May, Bob Corwin of PassThaBall.com wrote: “A mobile baseliner with medium-solid build, Canaan has a decent stroke with quick release in shooting from the perimeter but is not afraid to attack the glass. She is currently a solid mid-major recruit with a Power 5 upside depending in maturation of game (like so many young players).
According to her X account, along with Murray State, Canaan has received scholarship offers from Furman, South Carolina Upstate, Southern Indiana, Butler, La Salle, Bowling Green and Central Michigan.
