Zyree Collins, a 6’0 point guard in the recruiting class of 2025, told ny2lasports.com that of the six scholarship offers he holds, Murray State and Miami (OH) are both prioritizing him.
According to Collins’ X/Twitter page, Murray State and Miami both made scholarship offers on May 20th. In the interview with ny2lasports.com, Collins was complimentary of both schools.
“They’re a good program, like a brotherhood,” Collins said about Miami. “Their style of play, I like how they run their system.”
As for Murray State?
“Same thing, pretty much. It’s not far from home either. Good system, good coaching staff.”
The St. Louis product just finished his junior season with St. Mary’s South Side Catholic High School, where the St. Louis Post-Dispatch named him their All-Metro Player of the Year. Collins averaged 31.5 points per game, 6.7 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 3.4 steals, and he has already become the school’s all-time leading scorer with 1,912 points. The Missouri Basketball Coaches Association named Collins their Class 5 Player of the Year.
According to his X/Twitter account, Collins also has scholarship offers from Saint Louis, Southern Indiana, Southeast Missouri State and Lindenwood.
247 Sports has Collins listed as a 3-star prospect and the #7 player in Missouri in the Class of 2025.
