Creighton falls, Miller now 100% a Racer
MBB: The Bluejays lost to Auburn, 82-70, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament
New Murray State Head Coach Ryan Miller coached his final game as an asssitant with Creighton on Saturday, as the Bluejays fell to Auburn, 82-70, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament in Lexington.
Miller, who Murray State announced as their 18th head coach last Monday, finished out his fourth season with Creighton this evening. Tahaad Pettiford scored 23 points off the bench to lead Auburn to the win and a trip to the Sweet 16. Miller had been working for both Creighton and Murray State after he committed to finishing out the season with the Bluejays.
There has been no official announcement on when Miller will be officially introduced at Murray State. As Miller said earlier this week, he has yet to step foot in Murray, as he took the job site unseen. That should change almost immediately, as Miller needs to finish putting a staff together and will look to build a roster for the 2025-26 season. The transfer portal officially opens on Monday.
Pretty exciting that the new coach accepted the job site unseen, never having been to Murray. Shows Murray’s good reputation!
