Ford named MVC Freshman of the Week

Murray State’s Haven Ford is the Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Week.
Ford set a career-high Friday with 17 points against Southern Illinois, then followed that up with a new career-best of 19 points Sunday against Missouri State.
The freshman from Morehead, Kentucky is fourth on the team in scoring (9.8 PPG) and rebounding (3.6 RPG). Ford has scored in double-figures in each of the last five games, averaging 12.2 points per game over that stretch.
Ford and the rest of her Murray State teammates will be back in action Friday when the Racers challenge Belmont in Nashville.
