Ford says he's coming to Murray State
MBB: He is the second Class of 2025 recruit to publicly commit to the Racers
Tristian Ford took to Instagram Live Friday morning to make his college choice official.
Ford says he’ll be a Racer.
The 6’3 combo guard from Chicago Prep Sports Academy picked Murray State over Bradley, Toledo, Milwaukee and UIC.
On3 and 24/7 Sports both list Ford as a 3-star prospect. On3 ranks Ford as the #2 overall prospect in Illinois, and the #16 combo guard nationally in the Class of 2025.
Ford is now the second prospect from the 2025 recruiting class to publicly commit to the Racers. Kaden Rickard announced last month he intends to play for Murray State.
With Ford’s commitment, here’s a look, as of today, how the 2025-26 roster could look:
Returning Players (Position/Class in 2025-26)
John McCrear (6’8 redshirt sophomore forward)
Patrick Chew (6’3 redshirt junior guard)
Justin Morgan (6’6 senior guard)
Alden Applewhite (6’7 redshirt senior forward)
Lawrent Rice (6’3 junior guard)
KyeRon Lindsay (6’8 senior forward)
Jordan McCullum (6’8 sophomore forward)
Chiang Ring (6’8 sophomore forward)
Incoming Players
Kaden Rickard (6’5 freshman guard)
Tristian Ford (6’3 freshman guard)
With the scholarship limit expanding to 15 for 2025-26, Murray State Head Coach Steve Prohm, as of today, still has five open scholarships at his disposal for next season.
What’s the actual signing date of those players that are committed now?
