The Louisville Courier-Journal has named Brooke Nichelson First Team All-State in Kentucky for the 2024-25 season. Ninety coaches from across Kentucky sent in ballots for the Courier-Journal’s all-state voting.
Brooke Nichelson, who is part of Rechelle Turner’s 2025 recruiting class, helped lead North Laurel High School, in London, Kentucky, to the Kentucky High School Athletic Association state tournament quarterfinals. Their season ended with a record of 32-3.
Nichelson led North Laurel this season with 23.7 points per game, shooting 57.1% from the field and 44.4% from beyond the arc. The 5’10 guard also grabbed 8.8 rebounds per game.
According to her X page, Nichelson had scholarship offers from Western Carolina and Coastal Carolina before choosing Murray State. Prep Girls Hoops had Nichelson ranked as the #6 2025 prospect in Kentucky, and the #3 combo guard last summer.
