Harmon says he has visited Murray State
MBB: The junior college standout shot 47.4% from three-point range this season
In a big recruiting weekend where Murray State Head Coach Ryan Miller has already signed 6’9 forward JJ Traynor, the Racers also hosted a high-powered scoring wing in Christian Harmon.
Harmon confirmed on X he’s completed his visit to Murray State. The 6’6 forward from Rochester, New York played the last two seasons at Gulf Coast State College in Panama City, Florida. In his freshman season of 2023-24, Harmon averaged 6.4 points per game, shooting 35.5% from the field and 31.3% from three-point range.
This past season, as a sophomore, Harmon took a huge leap. He averaged 16.9 points, while shooting 48.4% and knocking down 47.4% (101-of-213) from beyond the arc. Harmon was named a Second Team Junior College All-American this season Gulf Coast College.

Back in October, Harmon committed to Kansas City, but has since reopened recruitment.
According to Harmon’s X page, he also has offers from Eastern Kentucky, Stony Brook, Arkansas State, FIU and Milwaukee.
Ryan Miller has signed five players out of the transfer portal in the last several weeks since taking over as Murray State’s head coach.
Ben Shtolzberg (6’4 senior guard/3.8 PPG last year at UC Santa Barbara)
KJ Tenner (6’0 sophomore guard/2.4 PPG last year at West Virginia)
Mason Miller (6’9 senior guard/1.1 PPG last year at Creighton)
Fredrick King (6’9 senior forward/2.7 PPG last year at Creighton)
JJ Traynor (6’9 senior forward/5.6 PPG last year at DePaul)
Miller still has ten scholarships he can fill for next season. There are apparently six players who could still return to the Racers next year (and use some of those ten scholarships), but none of them have made anything publicly official regarding their future:
Junior guard Patrick Chew
Senior forward Nick Ellington (has entered the transfer portal, but isn’t ruling out returning to Murray State)
Senior forward KyeRon Lindsay (has entered the transfer portal, but Murray State appears interested in bringing him back)
Senior guard Justin Morgan
Incoming freshman guard Tristian Ford
Incoming freshman guard Kaden Rickard
