Jackson says he's committing to Murray State
MBB: The junior guard led UIC in scoring last season
Javon Jackson, who led UIC in scoring last season, told The Athletic Monday afternoon he has committed to Murray State,
Jackson averaged 11.6 points last season for the Flames, as he helped UIC finish 10-10 in the Missouri Valley Conference and 17-14 overall. He shot 38.6% from the floor and 30.6% from three-point range.
The 6’3 guard from Houston, Texas played his freshman season at Division II Southern Nazarene before transferring to Utah State. Jackson only averaged 4.5 points with the Aggies, but shot 37.9% from beyond the arc.
Last season against Murray State, Jackson scored 30 points in UIC’s double overtime win over the Racers in Chicago.

With Jackson’s commitment, Murray State now has six players who are set to be on next year’s roster playing for the Racers:
