Koelling commits to play with the Racers
WBB: The Class of '24 standout averaged 17 points per game last year
Adalyn Koelling, a 6’1 wing from Jefferson City, Missouri, announced her commitment to play her college basketball at Murray State on social media Thursday afternoon. Koelling chose Murray State over offers from Western Illinois, Evansville, and Bradley. She is the second Class of 2024 player to commit to Murray State, joining 5’10 point guard Grace Billington from Moberly, Missouri.
Koelling originally committed to Missouri State in December of 2021, but after a coaching change in Springfield, Koelling turned elsewhere. After a visit to Murray back in August, today she made her commitment official.
Murray State Women’s Basketball Coach Rechelle Turner has made it clear that getting bigger is a recruiting priority moving forward as the Racers try to contend in the Missouri Valley Conference. Koelling provides that perimeter size Turner has been looking to find. Koelling averaged around 17 points and seven rebounds per game last season at Helias Catholic.
Koelling has twice earned all-state honors from the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association, in Class 4 as a sophomore and Class 5 as a junior.
