Lindsay named MVC Player of the Week
MBB: The junior forward is the first Racer to earn the weekly honor since 2022-23
Murray State junior forward KyeRon Lindsay is this week’s Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week. He is the first Racer to win the weekly award since DJ Burns did it in December of 2022.
Lindsay put on an all-time performance Saturday at Middle Tennessee. In the Racers’ 88-67 win, Lindsay scored 27 points on 12-of-16 shooting, grabbed eight rebounds, dished out four assists and blocked five shots. According to Basketball Reference, Lindsay is the only player in the last 20 years to put up that stat line.
Through three games this year, Lindsay is averaging 14.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game for the Racers.
Lindsay and his Murray State teammates return home Wednesday night to host Maryland-Eastern Shore at 7:00pm at the CFSB Center.
