Texas Tech transfer KyeRon Lindsay announced on social media on Sunday he is committed to play with the Racers next season.
Lindsay, the 6’8 forward from Denton, Texas, originally signed with the University of Georgia out of high school. He started eight out of ten games with the Bulldogs, where he averaged 6.2 points and 5.2 rebounds, before entering the transfer portal at the end of the first semester. Lindsay transferred to Texas Tech, where this past season he was reportedly expected to redshirt before he was rushed into duty when another Texas Tech player was injured. Lindsay averaged 6.1 minutes in nine games of action with the Red Raiders, averaging 2.7 points and 1.3 rebounds per game.
Coming out of high school, 247 Sports had Lindsay listed as a 4-star prospect, and the #108-ranked player in the Class of 2022. The scouting service also rated Lindsay as the 19th-best power forward in that recruiting class, and the 9th-best player in the state of Texas.
Lindsay will have two years of eligibility remaining.
I think we all were looking for a BIG. Hopefully our “small” bigs can outsmart our MVC “heavy” bigs. Overall, on paper, seems like a good recruiting class.
Do u think this Lindsay kid could really help us when it comes to valley play?
