Lindsay will not return to Racer program
MBB: The junior forward averaged 6.6 points per game last season for Murray State

After making a post on social media on Tuesday, Murray State junior forward KyeRon Lindsay confirmed to RacerBasketball.com he will not be returning to the Racer program next season.
Lindsay had originally announced he would enter the transfer portal back on March 18th, but had left open the possibility of returning to Murray State to play for first year head coach Ryan Miller. Today, that possibility appears to have come to an end.
After playing sparingly in his first two college seasons at Georgia and Texas Tech, Lindsay joined Murray State for the 2024-25 season. In 32 games with the Racers, Lindsay averaged 6.6 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.
The highlight of Lindsay’s season was on November 16th at Middle Tennessee, where he scored 27 points, grabbed eight rebounds, dished out four assists and blocked five shots.
So far, Miller has signed or received commitments from the following seven players:
Ben Shtolzberg (6’4 senior guard/3.8 PPG last year at UC Santa Barbara)
KJ Tenner (6’0 sophomore guard/2.4 PPG last year at West Virginia)
Mason Miller (6’9 senior guard/1.1 PPG last year at Creighton)
Fredrick King (6’9 senior forward/2.7 PPG last year at Creighton)
JJ Traynor (6’9 senior forward/5.6 PPG last year at DePaul)
Javon Jackson (6’3 senior guard/11.6 PPG last year at UIC)
Layne Taylor (5’11 sophomore guard/17.4 PPG last year at Central Arkansas)
With Lindsay moving on, here are the five players who could potentially return to the Racers next year, but have yet to make anything publicly official regarding their future:
Junior guard Patrick Chew
Senior forward Nick Ellington (has entered the transfer portal, but isn’t ruling out returning to Murray State)
Senior guard Justin Morgan
Incoming freshman guard Tristian Ford
Incoming freshman guard Kaden Rickard
Once any of those five players publicly announce their intention to play for the Racers next year, they will count toward the eight available scholarships Miller still has the ability to fill for the 2025-26 season.
I wish him nothing but the best!
