Mason Miller commits to Murray State
MBB: The nephew of Head Coach Ryan Miller says he'll be a Racer

One down, 14 to go.
Mason Miller, who spent three seasons playing at Creighton, posted on X on Friday that he has committed to finish his college career at Murray State.
Miller is the first player to commit to new Murray State Head Coach Ryan Miller for the 2025-26 season. The two are rather acquainted with one another, as Mason’s dad, Mike, is Ryan’s brother. Mason has played under his uncle at Creighton for the last three seasons.
Mason Miller started 37 of 101 games at Creighton over the last three seasons. The 6’8 forward led the Big East in three-point shooting a season ago knocking down 49-of-108 (45.4%) shots from beyond the arc.
After breaking his leg last summer, Miller never regained his shooting touch this season, as he made only 7-of-41 (17.1%) of his threes. Even with his struggles this year, Miller is still a 37.4% three-point shooter for his career.

Miller has had 26 games in his career where he’s made at least two triples in a game. His career-high in scoring came in December of 2023 when he scored 17 points against Central Michigan.
With 14 more scholarships to fill for next season, we expect more of those to be used in the coming days. At his introductory news conference on Thursday, Ryan Miller said he’d be meeting with players from last year’s team in the coming days to see if they’ll be back next season.
Here are the players that could potentially return next season:
Senior forward Alden Applewhite
Junior guard Patrick Chew
Senior forward Nick Ellington (who gains an extra year of eligibility due to his playing two seasons of junior college)
Sophomore forward Jordan McCullum
Senior guard Justin Morgan
Incoming freshman guard Tristian Ford
Incoming freshman guard Kaden Rickard
“It's happening soon,” Miller said Thursday, when asked about the timeline of those roster decisions. “We're on it already. In the next couple of days, things are going to happen.”
