McCullum enters the transfer portal
MBB: The freshman will have three years of eligibility remaining

Murray State freshman forward Jordan McCullum confirms to RacerBasketball.com he is entering the transfer portal.
The product of Harriman, Tennessee played in five games this season for the Racers, scoring all eight of his points in the season-opening win against Bethel. After playing eight minutes against Bethel, McCullum played only seven minutes the rest of the season, five of which came in Murray State’s loss at Missouri State on February 1st.
McCullum, who sports a 6’11 wing-span, was listed as a 4-star recruit coming out of high school by ESPN. Before choosing to be a Racer, McCullum had offers from Tennessee Tech, Ole Miss, Robert Morris, Georgia, Missouri and Ohio.

In 2024, McCullum was named Tennessee’s Mr. Basketball in Class 1A. He led Harriman to a 27-3 record and a trip to the Class 1A Sectional. McCullum scored more than 2,000 points and grabbed more than 1,000 rebounds in his career. He was listed as a Top-150 prospect in the 2024 recruiting class by Rivals and 247 Sports.
Murray State has three players who are set to be on next year’s roster playing for new head coach Ryan Miller:
KJ Tenner (6’0 sophomore guard)
Mason Miller (6’9 senior guard)
Fredrick King (6’9 senior forward)
With McCullum entering the transfer portal, here are the seven players who could return to the Racers next year, but have yet to make anything official:
Senior forward Alden Applewhite
Junior guard Patrick Chew
Senior forward Nick Ellington (has entered the transfer portal, but isn’t ruling out returning to Murray State)
Senior forward KyeRon Lindsay (has entered the transfer portal, but Murray State appears interested in bringing him back)
Senior guard Justin Morgan
Incoming freshman guard Tristian Ford
Incoming freshman guard Kaden Rickard
He will do great things for someone. I’m disappointed that we didn’t get to see him display his talent as a Racer.
