McCullum named Mr. Basketball finalist
MBB: The future Racer is one of three finalists for the award
Jordan McCullum, part of Murray State’s 2024 recruiting class, has been named a Tennessee Class 1A Mr. Basketball finalist. The award will be handed out on March 12th at the Murphy Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
McCullum has helped lead Harriman High School to a 22-1 record this season and a #1 ranking in this week’s Tennessee Class 1A Associated Press poll. The 6’8 senior has scored more than 2,000 points and grabbed more than 1,000 rebounds in his career. As of January 25th, McCullum was averaging 27 points, 15 rebounds, five assists, three steals and seven blocks per game this season.
The future Racer is listed as a Top-150 prospect in the 2024 recruiting class by Rivals and 247 Sports. Along with DJ Shine, McCullum is part of the highest-rated signing class in modern recruiting history for Murray State’s men’s program.
