Murray State-UNCW game finally confirmed

MBB: The Seahawks will be the Racers first opponent in Fort Myers

Everyone once in a while, one of my educated guesses pays off. I told you last week, that if you reverse-engineered the Fort Myers Tip-Off schedule, it appeared Murray State would play UNC Wilmington on November 20th.

This morning, the Fort Myers Tip-Off confirmed that on social media by posting the three day event schedule. The Racers get the Seahawks on November 20th, then will play Appalachian State on November 22nd.

My understanding is there are still three non-conference games to announce for the Racers. Unless the opponents announce them first, we are just waiting on Murray State to have all the signed contracts before they can release the full non-conference schedule.

Here is an updated list of Murray State’s non-conference games that have been publicly announced so far for the 2023-24 season:

• November 1st vs. TBA opponent (at Racer Arena)

• November 6th vs. Midway

• November 10th vs. Tennessee Tech

• November 14th vs. Western Kentucky

• November 20th vs. UNC Wilmington (Fort Myers Tip-Off Event)

• November 22nd vs. Appalachian State (Fort Myers Tip-Off Event)

• December 9th at Austin Peay

• December 30th vs. Middle Tennessee State
