Murray State will play Southern Miss in WNIT

Southern Miss defeated UAB, 79-74, Wednesday night in the opening round of the WNIT in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. With the win, Southern Miss will now face Murray State in the WNIT Round of 32.

The game between the Racers and Southern Miss will be played in Hattiesburg on Saturday at 5:00pm CST.

Murray State, 20-11 overall this season, will be in the WNIT for the second time in three years. It’s the sixth-time in program history Murray State has won at least 20 games in a season. Senior forward Katelyn Young is two points away from passing Sheila Smith to become Murray State’s all-time leading scorer.
