MVC women active in transfer portal today
WBB: SIU's Laniah Randle highlights the 12 Valley players who entered the portal
With the transfer portal opening early on Monday, the women’s side of the Missouri Valley Conference also appears to be losing some star power.
According to TheNextHoops.com, a pair of All-Valley players, SIU’s Laniah Randle and Bradley’s Halli Poock, entered the portal on Monday.
Randle earned First Team All-Missouri Valley Conference this season along with being named the Valley’s Most Improved Player. Randle led the Salukis averaging 18.3 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. She averaged 18.0 points and 9.5 rebounds in a pair of games against Murray State this season. Randle will have one year of eligibility remaining.
Poock was named Third Team All-Missouri Valley Conference along with picking up a spot on the MVC All-Freshman Team. She led Bradley with 14.9 points per game this season. After scoring seven points in the first meeting with the Racers on January 4th, Poock scored 29 points against Murray State in the regular season finale in Peoria.
