Pena named Missouri Valley Player of Week
WBB: The sophomore guard is 5th nationally in three-point percentage
Murray State sophomore guard Briley Pena is the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week.
In wins over Bradley and Illinois State, Pena averaged 16.5 points while shooting 64.7% from the field and 61.5% from the three-point line. Pena is shooting 50.0% from beyond the arc for the season which ranks fifth nationally.
Pena and the Racers are 10-2 overall and have won nine-straight games. The school record for consecutive wins is 11 set back in the 2008-09 season.
Murray State will play Indiana State on Thursday.
