Poock says she's committed to Murray State
WBB: The Bradley transfer was 3rd Team All-MVC this past season
After her Racers lost in the WNIT on Saturday, Murray State Head Coach Rechelle Turner said she and her staff were going to hit the transfer portal hard in an effort to upgrade their roster for the 2024-25 season.
It took just four days for that mission statement to apparently be proven true.
Halli Poock, who averaged 14.9 points per game as a freshman at Bradley this past season, posted on X/Twitter that she has committed to Murray State.
Poock was not only named Third Team All-Missouri Valley Conference last season, but she also earned a spot on the conference’s All-Freshman Team. Poock entered the transer portal eight days ago after Bradley’s season ended with a loss to Murray State in the opening round of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament.
The freshman guard started 18 of 32 games for Bradley last season, shooting 40.3% from the field and 38.5% from three-point range.
Against Murray State this season, Poock played exceptionally well. While scoring just seven points against the Racers in Murray in January, Poock combined to score 45, making 7-of-12 three-pointers, and grabbed nine rebounds in the final two games of Bradley’s season earlier this month. Poock will have three years of eligibility remaining.
That is AWESOME! Congrats to her and to Coach Turner as well!
