Racer finish 16th in final Mid-Major poll
WBB: Murray State was the only Missouri Valley Conference team ranked in the Top 25

In the final CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 poll of the season, Murray State finished #16 overall. The Racers were the only Missouri Valley Conference team to finish in the Top 25. Belmont, Missouri State, Drake and Northern Iowa were all in the ‘Others Receiving Votes’ category.
South Dakota State, who finished the year with a 30-4 record, ended the season #1 in the poll, picking up 30 of 31 first place votes. Grand Canyon picked up the other first place vote, and sits at #2 in the final poll.
On their way to winning their first-ever Missouri Valley Conference regular season and tournament championships, and earning their first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 2008, Murray State set several program records. Their 25 wins topped the previous record of 24 set by the 2008 Ohio Valley Conference champions.
The Racers finished the year averaging 86.8 points per game, which was #2 in the country this season, and the most in program history. Murray State also set team records for made field goals, made three-pointers, assists, defensive rebounds, total points and two-point shooting percentage.

Katelyn Young finished her career with 3,029 points, which is good for 14th on the NCAA Division I all-time scoring list.
In her final collegiate game, Ava Learn scored her 1000th career point. Her 321 rebounds rank as the fifth-most in a single season in program history.
Halli Poock scored her 1000th career point in the NCAA Tournament against Iowa.
With 118 steals in her first two years as a Racer, Haven Ford is on pace to threaten the program record of 242 held by Julie Pinson (1988-92). Ford also needs 189 points next season to reach 1,000 for her career.
Braxcynn Baker’s 38 made three-pointers is tied for the seventh-most by a freshman in program history.
Young and Briley Pena have both made 141 three-pointers in their career, which is good for 8th on Murray State’s all-time list. Macey Turley (2018-23) holds the program record with 269.
