Racers add first game to 2024-25 schedule

MBB: Murray State will welcome in a former Ohio Valley Conference rival

Fewer than six months until the start of the 2024-25 college basketball season, we finally have our first official piece of Murray State’s schedule.

The Racers will host former Ohio Valley Conference rival Southeast Missouri State on Sunday, December 8th. The X/Twitter account @madeformarch first reported the contract was signed. Murray State is 67-21 all-time against SEMO. The last meeting between these programs was in the 2022 OVC Tournament semifinals where the Racers won 88-74.

Murray State will have 31 games on their schedule next season, 20 of those will be conference games. Of their 11 non-conference games, aside from SEMO, the Racers are set to play the road portion of home-and-home series at Western Kentucky, Middle Tennessee and SMU. The dates for those games are yet to be determined. Murray State will also play in a yet-to-be-announced multi-team event.
