Racers come in at #23 in Mid-Major Top 25
WBB: It's the first time this season Murray State has been ranked
For the first time this season, Murray State has found themselves ranked in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 poll.
After picking up wins in the last week at Indiana State and Evansville, and tying the school record with 11-straight wins, Murray State comes in at #23 in this week’s poll.
Murray State is one of three Missouri Valley Conference schools to be ranked this week. Belmont is #8 in the poll, while Drake is #9. Belmont will play at Drake on Friday, while the Racers will then take on Drake on Sunday.
In the meantime, Murray State, Drake and Belmont are all tied for first place in the Missouri Valley at 5-0 in conference play.
The Racers, who are 12-2 overall and off to their best 14-game start since 1988, will play at Northern Iowa on Friday.
