Racers hope scoring balance travels to Florida
MBB: Murray State has five players averaging at least 10.0 points per game
Through the first three games of the season, Murray State has shown exceptional balance offensively. With Rob Perry leading the way with 16.0 points per game, the Racers have five players who are averaging at least ten points per game this season. The last time Murray State had five players score double-figures for an entire season was 2009-10.
That year, BJ Jenkins (10.6 points), Isaiah Canaan (10.4 points), Ivan Aska (10.3 points), Danero Thomas (10.1 points) and Tony Easley (10.0 points) were about as balanced a team as you could draw up. Isacc Miles just missed double-figures that season at 9.7 points per game. Murray State Head Coach Steve Prohm was an assistant under Billy Kennedy during that 2010 season, and Prohm says he would argue that 2010 team was the best Racer team he was ever around.
