Racers ranked in Mid Major Top 25

MBB: Murray State enters the poll for the first time this season

For the first time this season, Murray State has earned a spot in the CollegeInsider.com Mid Major Top 25 poll.

After beating Evansville and Southeast Missouri State last week, the Racers have won three in row, five of their last six, and have improved to 6-2 overall on the season.

Murray State comes in at #22 in this week’s poll. Drake (#4), Bradley (#5) and Belmont (#16) are the other Missouri Valley teams in the Top 25. Northern Iowa is in the ‘Others Receiving Votes’ category.

Unbeaten UC Irvine remains the #1 team in the poll this week, while Gonzaga and Saint Mary’s are also receiving first place votes.

The Racers will be off this week for final exams before returning to action Saturday when they travel to Bowling Green to face Western Kentucky.
