Racers receive votes in Mid Major poll
MBB: Bradley and UNI earned spots in the Mid Major Top 25
Murray State picked up 21 votes, which would be good for 40th-place overall, in the first CollegeInsider.com Mid Major Top 25 poll of the year. Gonzaga is ranked #1, as the Bulldogs picked up all 31 first place votes.
Two Missouri Valley Conference teams earned spots in the Top 25. Bradley is ranked #4, while Northern Iowa came in at #7.
This season, Murray State will face several teams that currently find themselves in the poll. Along with the two Missouri Valley teams, the Racers will face #25 Western Kentucky in Bowling Green on December 14th. Future Murray State opponents Drake, UT Arlington, Middle Tennessee and Indiana State are all receiving votes in the poll. Charleston is just outside the Top 25, and the Racers could face the Cougars in Hawai’i during the Diamond Head Classic.
Murray State will open the 2024-25 season next Monday when they host Bethel.
