Report: McCrear entering transfer portal
MBB: The freshman forward is the first player from this year's roster to enter the portal
VerbalCommits.com is reporting Murray State freshman forward John McCrear is entering the transfer portal.
McCrear redshirted the 2023-24 season as he recovered from a knee injury he suffered while in high school. He played in four games this season for a total of five minutes. While McCrear did not score this year, he did grab two rebounds for the Racers.
With Murray State hiring Ryan Miller as the 18th head coach in Racer Basketball history, there will likely be several roster moves in the coming weeks. The transfer portal officially opens on March 24th.
Wishing the best for this young man. I wish I knew the reason he only played five minutes. If someone knows, please respond. There’s a whole lot of fans that would like to know. Hopefully he will have a chance to prove himself next season.
