Report: Ring enters the transfer portal
MBB: The freshman from Minneapolis will look for a new basketball home
VerbalCommits.com is reporting Murray State freshman forward Chiang Ring has entered the transfer portal.
Ring played in six games for the Racers this season, scoring two points and grabbing two rebounds in 11 minutes of action.
With his senior year of high school in Minneapolis, Minnesota not ending until late June, Ring wasn’t able to Murray until last July, as he missed the first month of summer workouts. He played a season-high five minutes in the season-opener against Bethel.
Ring joins teammates KyeRon Lindsay and John McCrear as announcing their intentions to enter the transfer portal.

The transfer portal opened on Monday. New Murray State Head Coach Ryan Miller is on the road recruiting looking to find pieces for his first Racer roster.
The only non-senior scholarship players from last season who have yet to publicly declare whether they’re coming back next year are Justin Morgan, Alden Applewhite, Patrick Chew and Jordan McCullum.
Can't say that I blame him or the other freshmen.
