Rickard says he'll be a Racer
MBB: The 6'5 guard is the first player to commit in the Class of 2025
Kaden Rickard, a 6’5 guard from Madison, Alabama, posted on X this afternoon that he has committed to play his college basketball at Murray State.
Rickard plays at Bob Jones High School — which is the same school that former Racer Jeffery Moss played at during his prep years. Rickard averaged 15.0 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists this past season as a junior.
Back in the fall, HoopSeen.com listed Rickard as the #1 small forward in Alabama’s Class of 2025, and the #7 player overall in that recruiting class.
According to his X account, Rickard chose Murray State over Chattanooga, Belmont, Lipscomb, Kennesaw State, UIC and Troy.
Rickard is the first recruit in the Class of 2025 to publicly commit to Murray State. Here’s a look, as of today, how the 2025-26 roster could look:
