
Maddy Shirley announced on X/Twitter Tuesday that she has received a scholarship offer from Murray State.
According to her X/Twitter account, Shirley, who just finished her sophomore season at Evansville Central High School, now holds offer from Murray State and Central Michigan.
During this past season, the 6’1 Shirley set the single-season record at Evansville Center for both points and blocked shots. She has also already become the program’s all-time leader in blocked shots — with two years left in her high school career.
On top of Shirley being named the Southern Indiana Athletic Conference Player of the Year, the Evansville Courier & Press named her the All-Metro Player of the Year. Shirley averaged 19.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.3 blocks with 11 double-doubles this season for Evansville Central. She also shot 53% from the field.

For the second-straight season, the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association named Shirley to their Top 100 players list.
