Shorter says Murray State has reached out
MBB: The 6'5 guard led Division II in made three-pointers last season

“He wakes up ready to shoot,” Washburn University Head Coach Brett Ballard said when talking about Washburn sophomore guard Brayden Shorter.
Shorter didn’t just wake up ready to shoot this season for the Division II Ichabod out of Topeka, Kansas, he woke up ready to make. Shorter led all of Division II with 119 made three-pointers this season, while helping lead Washburn to the national semifinals.
After two seasons with the Ichabod, Shorter is ready to make the move to Division I. He tells Hoop Scoop Media on X that he’s heard from 15 schools so far, including Murray State.

The other schools that Shorter said have reached out include: Lipscomb, Wyoming, South Dakota State, North Dakota State, Indiana State, Milwaukee, UTSA, Missouri State, Iona, Furman, Liberty, Oakland, UIC and North Dakota.
The 6’5 wing is from Springfield, Missouri, and today he posted on X that he has received an offer from his hometown Bears.
Shorter started 33 of 34 games this year for Washburn, averaging 15.5 points per game, and shooting 36.7% from beyond the arc. He made at least four triples in 15 different games, while scoring in double figures 29 times.
