For the third time today, Murray State has another signing to announce, as Ben Shtolzberg is officially the newest Racer.
After playing his freshman season at Creighton, when new Murray State Head Coach Ryan Miller was an assistant with the Bluejays, Shtolzberg transferred to play at UC Santa Barbara for the last two years.
"We recruited Ben to Creighton, so I know him well," Miller said in a statement. "First, he's an outstanding young man and a great teammate. Ben has a high basketball IQ and he's going to be a tremendous leader in our program."
The 6’4 guard played in 33 games for the Gauchos this season, as UC Santa Barbara finished with a record of 21-13. Shtolzberg averaged 13.4 minutes per game, scoring 3.8 points, shooting 50.0% from the floor and 3-for-15 (20.0%) from three-point range. He had 51 assists against 20 turnovers this season for UCSB.

With Shtolzberg’s signing, Murray State now has four players who are set to be on next year’s roster playing for the Racers:

Mason Miller (6’9 senior guard/1.1 PPG last year at Creighton)
Fredrick King (6’9 senior forward/2.7 PPG last year at Creighton)
