Smith scores 27 in professional debut

In his professional debut, Jamari Smith scored 27 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead BC Geosan Kolin to an 89-79 win over Sluneta Ústà nad Labem on Sunday.
BC Geosan Kolin is part of the Czech National Basketball League, the top-tier of professional basketball in the Czech Republic.
Smith made 5-of-10 three-pointers to key his big offensive night.
After spending four seasons at Queens University, Smith transferred to Murray State last season. He was second on the team in scoring last year with 11.7 points per game. Smith shot 45.0% from the field and 32.4% from beyond the arc. After Murray State lost to Drake in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament in March, Smith announced he would be turning pro instead of returning to Murray for a final season.
