Murray State Athletics announced their 2023 Hall of Fame Class on Tuesday, and it includes a pair of former Ohio Valley Conference Players of the Year.
Jonathan Stark and Ke’Shunan James found out today they’ll be inducted the weekend of November 17 and 18th.
Stark scored 1,408 points in only two years in a Racer uniform, which is good for 21st all-time at Murray State. His 21.7 points per game is the highest scoring average in program history. Along with being named 2018 OVC Player of the Year, Stark was the 2018 OVC Tournament MVP and led the Racers to that year’s NCAA Tournament. After playing in the NBA G-League in 2018-19, Stark has spent the last three seasons playing in Europe.
James was named the 2018 OVC Women’s Player of the Year. Her 2,191 points are the second-most in Murray State history. James was the 2015 OVC Freshman of the Year, and then earned First Team All-OVC honors her final three years in Murray. She scored 30+ points on nine different occasions during her career. James has most recently played professionally in Slovakia, where she helped her team win back-to-back league championships.
