Stowers says she has Murray State offer
WBB: The Class of 2026 prospect is from St. Charles, Missouri
Kennedy Stowers, a 6’2 forward in the 2026 recruiting class, has posted on social media that she has received a scholarship offer from Murray State.
Stowers, who plays for Lutheran High School of St. Charles, Missouri, helped the Cougars win a Missouri Class 5 state championship in 2023, and then finish as state runner-up in 2024.
According to her X/Twitter account, Stowers has offers from Murray State, Omaha, Utah State, Southeast Missouri State, North Alabama, Evansville, Howard, Toledo, Illinois State, Wichita State and Saint Louis.
After a game in February, Prep Girls Hoops Missouri wrote this about Stowers: “Kennedy Stowers is a top forward prospect in 2026 and had some flashes of high level play last night. She’s an active defender who talks, protects the basket, and displays much needed agility in space. On offense she’s a low-post threat who plays with a high level of physicality. She’s well ahead of schedule for a sophomore big. There’s a lot to like in a prospect such as Stowers and she took advantage of the increased role on this night. It was an opportunity for her to be the focal point of her team and the response was strong in what was a tough, defensive-minded game.”
Stowers averaged 11.3 points and 7.4 rebounds per game last season for the Cougars.
