WBB: The sophomore forward played meaningful minutes late last season
In the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament quarterfinals back in March, Murray State’s championship hopes were hanging by the proverbial thread. With 9:31 to go in the game, the Racers trailed Missouri State 53-43. Senior forward Hannah McKay wasn’t playing because of an injury, and senior forward Katelyn Young had just fouled out. With her veterans out of the game, Murray State Head Coach Rechelle Turner was in desperate need of a spark, and she found one in Destiny Thomas.
