Turner: Young is in best shape of her life
WBB: Murray State's all-time leading scorer is hoping to max out her final year

In her first three seasons playing at Murray State, Katelyn Young averaged 31.3, 31.6 and 31.5 minutes per game, respectively. Last season, with Head Coach Rechelle Turner installing her turbo-speed system for the first time, Young’s minutes dropped to 29.7 per game. While a two-minute difference may not seem like it would make that much of a difference, those are two minutes where arguably (if you still want to argue, for reason) the greatest player in the history of the program is on the bench instead of being on the floor helping you win. As she enters her fifth and final season in a Racer uniform, Young wasn’t going to let fatigue be a reason she wasn’t on the floor this year.
