WBB: 26 Murray State turnovers lead to 29 points for the Screaming Eagles
Murray State dropped their first game of the year Tuesday against Southern Indiana, 82-75, in front of the largest standalone crowd for a home game in program history. Here’s what you need to know:
With the loss, the Racers fall to 1-1 on the season.
On Education Day, a program record 2,713 fans watched the game at the CFSB Center.
Sophomore guard Haven Ford led Murray State with 22 points, ten rebounds and seven assists.
Murray State’s 26 turnovers led to 29 Southern Indiana points.
Senior forward Katelyn Young finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
After starting her career 1-for-22 from three-point range, senior forward Ava Learn went 2-for-3 from beyond the arc against USI.
Southern Indiana had six players score in double-figures in the win.
