Williams to play with OKC's Summer League team
MBB: The Salt Lake City Summer League starts tomorrow
Former Murray State Racer KJ Williams, who signed a free agent deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder last week, will play with OKC’s Summer League team in Salt Lake City starting tomorrow.
Oklahoma City released their Salt Lake City roster yesterday, which includes 17 players. Williams will wear #42. The Salt Lake City Summer League will start tomorrow and last through Thursday.
The 2022 Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year played at LSU last season, and earned Second Team All-SEC honors as he averaged 17.7 points and 7.7 rebounds per game.
Oklahoma City will play three games in Salt Lake City:
Monday at 8:00pm CDT vs. Utah on NBA TV
Wednesday at 6:00pm CDT vs. Memphis on NBA TV
Thursday at 6:00pm CDT vs. Philadelphia on ESPN2
The Thunder will start play in the Las Vegas Summer League starting on Saturday. Whether Williams will be playing in Vegas has yet to be publicly announced.
