Wood hoping to assist Racers' offensive attack
MBB: The junior guard was third in the Missouri Valley in assists last season
When JaCobi Wood’s playing career comes to a close, he’d like to get into coaching. The Murray State junior guard decided to dip his toe into the coaching pool last month when he held his first-ever summer basketball camp in his hometown of Cleveland, Tennessee.
“It went well,” Wood said. “We had a really good turnout. We had a lot of kids show up. I got to teach them a little bit about the game of basketball and just coach them about real life lessons, and how it is when you get to college. It was really fun. The kids enjoyed it. That was the main thing I was worried about, just making sure they had a fun time.”
