WBB: Murray State's all-time leading scorer will return for a fifth season
Since Murray State’s season ended March 23rd against Southern Miss in the second round of the WNIT, there has been one question looming over the Racer program — actually, you can make that three questions.
Would Katelyn Young, arguably the greatest player in Murray State’s history:
A. Return to school for a fifth and final season with the Racers?
B. Enter the transfer portal and play elsewhere for that final year?
C. Decide four years of college basketball was enough and that it was time to call it a career?
I sat down with Young Wednesday afternoon in an empty coach’s office in Murray State’s Ray Center. When I slid my tape recorder across the desk, Young’s smile lit up the room, as she was finally ready to come clean, publicly, with one of the biggest pronouncements in the history of Murray State Women’s Basketball.
